CONSULTING
Renewable energy advisory
Connect energy choices to reduction goals.
Assess green-energy choices, supporting documentation and accounting boundaries in the context of energy use and reduction plans.
Understand energy use
Review location, period and data for electricity and other energy consumption.
Options and documentation
Discuss relevant procurement or energy measures and the supporting attribute evidence.
Accounting and claims
Keep energy procurement consistent with Scope 2 methodology. Certificates and instruments are not universal proof of reductions.
Start with facilities, consumption and targets
Green-energy work connects facilities, consumption and reduction objectives. Factories, offices and groups operating across several regions have different conditions and options. Carbonstop's CREOS reduction approach includes green-energy portfolios, beginning with locations, periods, procurement arrangements and existing targets. The question is which measures the business can consider and what evidence is needed for accounting and disclosure, rather than treating every certificate or procurement instrument carrying a green description as the same tool.
Build a site-level consumption record
Bring electricity and other energy invoices, facility lists, consumption periods, contracts and energy-management records. Different sites need data corresponding to the same reporting period, with production changes explained. Existing green-power or attribute records require checks against the consuming entity, period and covered quantities. A clear mapping shows which consumption has supporting evidence and where collection remains incomplete. Records from one facility should not be assumed to cover all group locations.
Compare choices against operating conditions
A project can discuss applicable procurement, efficiency and on-site energy options against facility conditions and business plans. Comparisons need procurement and technical dependencies, evidence requirements and the next decisions. Energy choices belong within the complete emissions picture: fuels, materials and supply-chain hotspots may need other actions. A portfolio description helps operations and purchasing teams identify the work they can influence, instead of relying on a single procurement instrument to address every source.
Connect procurement evidence to accounting
Contracts, attributes and certificates need review under the applicable accounting approach. A green description alone does not establish a different reported result. Retain source, geography, period and use records, explaining the treatment of purchased energy. The agreed scope can include consumption diagnosis, options discussion, an evidence checklist and accounting notes. Public reduction statements should be checked against the supporting documents before being used in customer materials or reporting.
Include energy work in annual updates
New sites, changed contracts and different consumption patterns affect later accounting. Connect consumption and evidence records to annual inventory work, tracking energy use, procurement changes and factor changes separately. Facility lists, sample consumption records, existing contracts and targets can define pilot priorities. The output focuses on understandable options and preparation needs. It does not assume an instrument works in every market or promise a reduction quantity before the underlying conditions are reviewed.

FAQ
Questions before you decide.
Are green electricity and attribute certificates equivalent?
Their transaction and evidence arrangements can differ. Review the actual procurement, attribute records and accounting requirements. Names alone do not make them interchangeable, and a certificate should not be assumed to apply to every geography or intended use.
Can one factory's procurement support a group-wide claim?
Describe the actual facilities, period and consumption covered. Procurement at one site does not establish coverage for the whole group. Public wording needs to match evidence, with different facility conditions explained separately where relevant.
Should procurement and efficiency be reviewed together?
They can form a portfolio. Efficiency concerns consumption and operations; procurement concerns energy sources and evidence. Record their conditions and effects separately before assessing them within the complete inventory, so their contributions are not duplicated.
