Ccloud has room for more than one kind of footprint

A factory inventory and the footprint of a product are not the same calculation. Ccloud supports both, alongside supply-chain management, events and carbon accounts. This matters when different colleagues are working with related records: the finance team holds energy bills, production knows output, and procurement knows the suppliers. Carbonstop's platform brings those accounting needs into a broader carbon management system. You can discuss the scenario that matters now while considering how its data will be maintained when a second site, another product or a new reporting period enters the work.

Corporate accounting: start with the sites

An inventory needs an agreed organizational boundary. Which entities and operating sites belong in it? Which period do the records cover? Ccloud supports corporate accounting models and report preparation. Before implementation, map energy, purchasing and other relevant records to their sources. A shared electricity bill, for example, needs an explanation if it covers activities outside the assessment. This is also where internal responsibility matters. The person uploading a bill may not be the person who can explain a meter change. Make the collection process reflect who actually knows the data.

Product accounting: follow the production process

For a product, the starting point shifts to function, materials, manufacturing and the chosen life-cycle scope. Ccloud's product footprint capabilities use an LCA approach, with analysis and reporting outputs. Two products made on the same line may share energy records while using different materials or output quantities. The allocation decision needs to be stated. A demonstration using a sample bill of materials and production data can show what the model requires from your team. It is more revealing than viewing a completed chart without its supporting information.

AI assistance inside the platform

Ccloud's published AI capabilities include extracting emission information from unstructured documents, building models and assisting checks on units, missing scope and inconsistent logic. Reduction analysis and disclosure preparation are also covered. Watch a source record through the demonstration: what was extracted, which process it entered and where a person checks it. Then look at the report. Can your team relate its result back to those records? This is the practical question to answer before choosing which tasks to bring into regular use.

Suppliers and delivery arrangements

Supply-chain work involves upstream suppliers, downstream customers and other stakeholders. Product and corporate modules provide related accounting foundations, while the platform also offers carbon data for benchmarking discussions. Comparison needs matching boundaries and units; a smaller footprint may simply cover fewer stages. Ccloud is available through SaaS, custom software and on-premises arrangements, with development and consulting support. Existing systems, data policy and the people responsible for maintaining the process will influence that choice. For a custom project, discuss requirements, design, testing and deployment as actual deliverables, with an agreed scope.

FAQ

Questions before you decide.

What makes a good first Ccloud project?

Choose a site or product whose records are accessible and whose reporting purpose is clear. Follow a complete cycle from collection to review. That reveals whether the software fits and whether the business can supply the information. Extending to more sites is easier to plan once those responsibilities are understood.

Do we need to move our existing systems?

Describe the systems you use and the records they hold before deciding. SaaS, custom and on-premises delivery are options, but specific interfaces and implementation arrangements require project discussion. Bring sample data, deployment requirements and maintenance expectations so the proposal can address the actual environment.

Who decides whether a report passes verification?

The independent reviewing institution makes that decision. Ccloud's public description includes online certification collaboration for applications, feedback and communication. Confirm the institution and evidence requirements for the assignment. The platform helps organize preparation and exchanges; it does not remove the need for a review of the underlying data.
