Carbonstop’s historical announcement records an SGS assessment of Ccloud SaaS version 1.0’s general corporate carbon-accounting version. The record concerns that software version and its specified review scope.
According to the announcement, SGS assessed the calculation process, emission-factor data, models and completeness of information in generated inventories and reports against relevant ISO 14064-1:2018 rules. It is a historical review of particular software and accounting processes.
The assessment does not establish the same conclusion for every current module. Nor does a customer report generated with the software automatically pass independent SGS verification. Corporate reports depend on boundaries, activity data, applicable methods and actual evidence.
The announcement also discussed cooperation between Carbonstop and SGS in low-carbon work. Customers planning independent verification should separately confirm the object, version, method, verifier and permitted use of the final opinion.
